Calling All Parents

In this day and age many kids seem to have everything; cell phones, ipods, sophisticated camera's, computers and a variety of different gaming systems, gizmo's and gadgets. Many of them have been on multiple trips abroad. They have hundreds of friends online, they have dozens of educational opportunities, they belong to incredible sports teams, take unbelievable classes, but yet something is missing. Could it be that in this day and age, that some parents have given their kids everything, but inadvertently they have forgotten a few of the most important things? This though provoking talk will challenge parents to look at what they have given and what they haven't. Each child needs to be rooted in a grounded spirituality that is uniquely Catholic. What are the pillars of Catholicity which parents must introduce to raise a child that can weather the storms that life will inevitably bring? This is a great talk to parents just before sacramental preparation for either Confirmation or First Holy Communion. Let's make it a family affair!
